MAxT is excited to present a two part class in the workshop of Japanese Woodworker Paul Tuller.
The two classes can be taken individually or together, and are designed to provide students an overview of working with Japanese hand tools and some hands-on practice. Each course are full day with a lunch break and have a fee of $95 each. No prior purchase of tools or materials will be necessary to take the class.
The first workshop (Feb. 25) will cover the proper use and care of Japanese saws, chisels and planes.
The Second workshop (Mar. 4) will cover sharpening with Japanese water stones, plane setup and tuning and traditional Japanese layout.
Paul has been working with Japanese hand woodworking tools for over 35 years to build traditional Japanese interior spaces and custom furniture. He is the co-founder of The Guild of NH Woodworkers and a past juried member of The League of NH Craftsmen.
