MAxT is excited to present a class in the workshop of Japanese Woodworker Paul Tuller.
The class is designed to provide students an overview of working with Japanese hand tools and some hands-on practice. The course is a full day with a lunch break and costs $95 per participant. No prior purchase of tools or materials will be necessary to take this class.
The workshop will cover the proper use and care of Japanese saws, chisels and planes; sharpening with Japanese water stones; plane setup and tuning and traditional layout.
This class will be useful for those interested in taking one of Paul's project based classes later in the month.
Paul has been working with Japanese hand woodworking tools for over 35 years to build traditional Japanese interior spaces and custom furniture. He is the co-founder of The Guild of NH Woodworkers and a past juried member of The League of NH Craftsmen.
