In this class, students will be creating custom rubber stamps using the laser cutter at MAxT. Laser cutting technology offers artists the opportunity to create their own custom stamps much more quickly & efficiently than the traditional process of carving them by hand. Instructor Sarah Gingras will guide students through the process of designing, engraving, and assembling their stamps. She will also cover materials and suppliers for students interested in using these techniques in future projects.

Ages: 16+

About the Instructor: Sarah Gingras is a multi-media artist and graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. She has a line of laser cut jewelry and housewares she creates at MAxT under the name Messy Threads Design and is a regular fixture at local art fairs.
