In this beginner workshop, instructor Leeni Gravlin-Dunn will guide students through the creation of a fused fabric landscape based on a photograph.
The following skills will be covered:
-Letting your imagination guide your fabric choices and composition
-Techniques to achieve different landscape looks/textures
-Fusing fabric to a foundation
-Making a quilt sandwich
-Making a simple quilting design with a straight stitch and a regular machine foot
-Edge finishing with a zig-zag or bound edge

About the Instructor:
Leeni is a graduate of The Worcester Center for Crafts, Professional Craft Program, Fiber Concentration and earned a Master of Education from Fitchburg State University. She has been sewing garments since the age of 10, and has experience in clothing alterations (including bridal wear),quilting, quilt: repair/ history/dating / documentation/appraisal. Leeni is also experienced in knitting, crochet, needlepoint, cross stitch, weaving, dying and surface design.
