The second in a series of art classes held at the riverside setting of the Waterhouse Restaurant's outdoor (heated!) patio.  Working small-scale on paper with choice of gouache, watercolor and other mixed media, learn to quickly capture complex scenes around us through focus on simple abstract shapes, color and brushwork.

Materials will be provided for the class. It is appropriate for all skill and experience levels. Coffee and pastries will be available from the Bakers Station next door.

About the teacher:

Kimberly Kersey-Asbury is a painter, sculptor and mixed media artist with a special love for drawing. She received a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and an MFA in Painting from Boston University. A Fulbright recipient to Botswana for painting, she had a residency at the Vermont Studio Center for painting and workshops in Ceramic Sculpture at Haystack and the Archie Bray Foundation. She teaches studio art at Saint Anselm College and resides in Dublin, NH

Please take note of our COVID-19 protocols:

1. Masks at all times people are in the class area, cotton masks are fine.

2. Hand sanitizer will be provided.

3. We ask participants to self report any COVID symptoms.

4. Tables are spread out at least six feet apart. We limit class sizes to 8 participants max. Each person stays at their own station. The instructor roams around during work time, but maintains that distance as they do.
